A practical WCAG 2.2 AA review pass, ordered so the checks that find the most problems come first.

Definition

A designer-oriented accessibility pass. It does not replace a full audit, and it will find the large majority of issues that reach production.

Craft convention. True because the industry converged on it. Breaking it costs familiarity, not correctness.

Keyboard and focus

Every flow can be completed with the keyboard alone
Focus is always visible, with at least 3:1 contrast
Focus is never obscured by sticky headers or footers
Tab order follows visual order and contains no traps
Focus is managed on route changes, dialog open and close, and error submission
Any drag interaction has a single-pointer alternative

Hover and focus content is dismissible, hoverable and persistent
