Origami Studio

Node-based prototyping for precise interaction and motion behaviour.

Definition

A free patch-based prototyping tool built at Meta. Its node graph gives fine control over motion, gesture and state, at the cost of a genuinely steep learning curve.

Craft convention. True because the industry converged on it. Breaking it costs familiarity, not correctness.

Good for

  • Precise motion design
  • Gesture-driven interactions
  • Mobile interaction detail

Watch out for
