Definition
A broad evaluation pass covering navigation, hierarchy, interaction, feedback, content and errors. Use the audit tool for recording findings; use this when you want a portable list.
Expert heuristic. A review criterion developed by practitioners. Useful and widely taught, but evaluated by judgement rather than measurement.
